I could tell, im not a musical expert but what I heard was more wind noise (for lack of a better phrasing) with first, and it was pitchier. The notes on the 2nd had no pitchiness…..to my ears.

Just had a flute delivered from Amazon today and found this video very helpful. Thanks! So far I've seen familiar similarities in structure with with a saxophone (my childhood instrument), but having multiple registers is a different thing. Hard to get those low notes out.

It's all very well that you can play very nicely at such a fast tempo, but it's a march. 120 BPM would be about the fastest that makes sense. I've wondered if this is abstracted from a concert march written for orchestra.

Huh, maybe it's just my speakers, but begore the reveal; "A" sounded a lot clearer while B seemed to have to (idk how to describe it, not a musician) irregularities whole playing so I thought that B was the cheap 😅

Got the cecilio $50 flute to try. I can't tell yet if it's a skill issue or craftsmanship but the 3rd octave is not currently possible for me. Even when I get it into that 3rd octave range it feels at least a whole step off of what i'm fingering.

I accidentally deleted my comment but I'll write it again lol. I love this way of doing the chromatic scale warm up. I've been taught to play the scales up to the highest D and back down but it's not effective since you can mess up the notes along the way. In this version you clearly differentiate the whole and half steps which is great practice and wires your brain to recognize those. I'll try this warm up 🎶👍
